Explosion at Madakkathara sub-station knocks out electricity in Thrissur, Ollur

THRISSUR: Power supply in Thrissur was disrupted following an explosion at the Madakkathara power substation. Authorities said that efforts are ongoing to resolve the issue. The explosion occurred at the substation around 7:30 pm.

It is Thrissur Corporation that supplies power to the municipality. As a result, the power supply was disrupted in Thrissur city and nearby Ollur. Although power supply was restored in some places, work is ongoing to restore electricity in all places in the region.
