Film shooting on Makaravilakku day at Sannidhanam; Devaswom chief K Jayakumar orders investigation

PATHANAMTHITTA: Travancore Devaswom Board President K Jayakumar confirmed that he had received a complaint about film shooting on the day of Makaravilakku at Sannidhanam. It is said that the shooting of director Anuraj Manohar's new film was held at Sannidhanam on the day without the authorities noticing.

Jayakumar said that the officials had denied permission for the makers to film Makaravilakku, but said that he received a complaint that the film shooting was held anyway. Jayakumar directed the Devaswom Vigilance SP to investigate. Jayakumar said that action will be taken after receiving the report.

However, director Anuraj Manohar responded that the filming was held at Pamba and not in Sannidhanam. The film set was erected in Pamba. Devaswom Board Chairman confirmed that he had earlier denied permission for the shooting. Meanwhile, the director said he would cooperate with the investigation.
