Former MLA P M Mathew passes away

KOTTAYAM: Former MLA P M Mathew passes away. He was 75. He was a Kerala Congress leader and MLA of Kaduthuruthy. He died while undergoing treatment for kidney ailments at a hospital in Pala.

He was Kaduthuruthy MLA from 1991 to 1996. He was the first chairman of the Kerala Congress Jacob faction. He served as chairman from 1993 to 1997. He had also served as the state president of KSU. He was not active in public activities for quite some time. The funeral will be held tomorrow.
