KOLLAM: Minister Ganesh Kumar's former personal staff member, Sudhir Malayil, testified before the Kottarakkara Judicial First Class Magistrate Court that Minister K.B. Ganeshkumar told him several times that he would implicate former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in a rape case. Sudhir is a witness in the conspiracy case in which the solar case complainant and Ganesh are accused.

Sudhir was a member of Ganesh Kumar’s personal staff from 2011 to 2013.

“Ganesh maintained a close relationship with the complainant. She often visited the minister's official residence and offices. Ganesh, who was a member of Oommen Chandy's cabinet, had to resign following a domestic violence complaint filed by his former wife, Yamini Thankachi. He approached Chief Minister Oommen Chandy demanding return to the ministry, but to no avail.” The statement says that Ganesh told Sudhir several times that he would teach Oommen Chandy a lesson in retaliation for denying his return to the ministry. Sudhir's statement comes in the case of the addition of four pages to the letter submitted by the complainant. Advocate Sudhir Jacob is the petitioner.
