THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has again transferred Agriculture Department Principal Secretary Dr. B. Ashok. He has been transferred to the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department as Principal Secretary. The government order states that the transfer will come into effect on the 17th.
The Central Administrative Tribunal had stayed the transfer of Ashok as the Chairman of KTDFC on the 8th. Ashok, who had been on leave following his transfer to KTDFC, had taken charge at the Agriculture Department on Tuesday following the tribunal's verdict. The new transfer comes as the tribunal is set to hear the continuation of the case on Tuesday. The new order also states that the earlier transfer to KTDFC has been cancelled.
Tinku Biswal, who was appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department in place of Ashok, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Local Government Department. The charge of the Agriculture Department has not been given to anyone else.
Ashok was transferred from the Agriculture Department to the Chairman of KTDFC after he filed a report implicating the Chief Minister's Office in connection with the leak of information about the Kera project. The tribunal had also quashed the order transferring Ashok to the Local Government Reforms Commission last January.
