Govt appoints pay revision commission as former chief secretary V P Joy as chairman

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has appointed a commission to revise the salaries of government employees. The commission, chaired by former chief secretary V P Joy, should prepare a report within three months. This was announced in the state budget. The government believes that the recommendations in the commission can be implemented as soon as the report is received. The commission includes advocate M Rajagopalan Nair and retired additional secretary Sreelatha Sukumaran as members. A separate order will also be issued clarifying the issues for consideration by the commission.
