THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the announcement of the elections, the state government cancelled the ceremony to felicitate World Cup hero Sanju Samson, which was scheduled to be held today at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister and other ministers will attend the ceremony to felicitate Sanju at the Mangalapuram Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram today itself under the auspices of the Kerala Cricket Association. The KCA is felicitating Sanju at the inauguration of the Mangalapuram Stadium. Since this is not a public event, public representatives, including the Chief Minister, will attend. Sanju, who was in Delhi yesterday for the BCCI's annual awards ceremony, will arrive today to receive the KCA's honour.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Mangalapuram Stadium built by the Kerala Cricket Association at 6 pm. Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman will switch on the state-of-the-art LED floodlight system. Education Minister V.
