Govt for an adjournment debate on Vizhinjam strike in assembly

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The chief minister said that a discussion can be held on Vizhinjam strike on the second day of the assembly session. The assembly proceedings will be suspended and then a two-hour discussion will be held on the strike. The discussion is likely to be held at 1 pm today. The house gave permission to the opposition's notice for the adjournment motion. The notice was moved by M Vincent.

The opposition alleged that the government is not taking steps to settle the Vizhinjam strike. The chief minister clarified that the issue can be discussed. For the first time during this session, the government has decided to suspend the proceedings to discuss the issue.
