HC disagrees to interfere as competent officer is investigating gold theft

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court responded to the pleas seeking a CBI probe in the Sabarimala gold theft. The court clarified that it cannot interfere in the SIT’s investigation. The court will consider the plea seeking a CBI investigation after a week. The investigation is presently being monitored by the court. The investigation is being conducted by a competent officer. The court clarified that it cannot interfere in the investigation and that the court will not consider public perceptions.

The real scientific test results as part of the investigation have to be obtained. The test is being conducted in a high-quality lab. The high court clarified that if the court considering the bail of the accused says anything, it cannot interfere in the investigation. The high court also said that the aim is to bring the real culprits of the gold theft before law.
