THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The health condition of former chief minister V S Achuthanandan continues to be very critical. Treatment is on to normalize his blood pressure and kidney function. Dialysis is being administered as per the advice of a team of expert doctors. The doctors said he is responding to the medicines.
The government had appointed an expert team of seven doctors from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College to assess his health condition. The medical board will meet at 11 am today to assess his health condition. VS was admitted to the hospital on June 23 following a heart attack. He has been undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit since then.
