KOZHIKODE: A red alert has been issued for educational institutions in Kozhikode district following heavy rains. District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh IAS has announced a holiday for educational institutions including Anganwadis, tuition centres and madrasas. A holiday was issued for educational institutions today also due to the heavy rains. Damage was widespread in the district due to heavy rains. A temple in Vadakara Villiappallywas damaged by wind and rain.
