High temperature warning in Kerala on Friday and Saturday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: High temperature warning has been issued in eight districts of the state today and tomorrow. Temperature is likely to see a rise in Kollam by three degrees from yesterday's high of 36 degrees Celsius. Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Palakkad districts will experience up to two degrees above normal temperature. Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts may see temperature increase by one to two degrees. People are also advised to be cautious as there is a possibility of sunstroke from 11 am to 2 pm. Yesterday's updated rain forecast indicated that there is no chance of significant rain in the state for a week. There is a possibility of light drizzle in northern districts tomorrow evening.
