Higher secondary teachers struggling with workload in state

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Higher secondary teachers in the state are struggling with workload from practical exams, plus one classes and model exams. Apart from this, they have to report for valuation duty in other school as well.

The Higher Secondary Practical Examination which started on 1st of this month will end on 23rd. The model exam is from the 27th till March 3. In the meantime, the portions of plus one students should be completed. Higher Secondary director’s order states that follow-up evaluation (monitoring) should be completed before the model examination. The teachers are asking how will they get for this while they will be busy with exam duties in own schools.

This year also, the schools are supposed to take photostat copies of practical exam answer sheet to students. From 2019, the answer sheets will come in the form of a four-page booklet.
