KOZHIKODE: Opposition Leader V D Satheesan has lashed out at the police following the allegations made by the wife of minister K B Ganesh Kumar. He questioned what justice ordinary women in Kerala could expect if even a minister’s wife could not get justice.

"The Chief Minister should clarify his stand on the issue. What action did the police take on the complaint raised by Ganesh Kumar’s wife? The Chief Minister was seen holding a cup as part of PR works. Does he still have that cup with him?" Satheesan mocked.

The controversy grew following revelations by Bindu Menon, the wife of Ganesh Kumar. Following her statements, strong criticism has been raised against the minister.

Mahila Congress president Jebi Mather demanded that the Chief Minister remove Ganesh Kumar from the cabinet. Speaking in Delhi, she said, "Dialogue about having 'a five-thousand love affairs' may sound fine in movies, but in real life, betraying one’s wife could lead to legal action."

Congress MP Rajmohan Unnithan also urged the Chief Minister to take action against Ganesh Kumar. He said that the Chief Minister, who accepts complaints even from abroad, should also formally take a written complaint from the minister’s wife.
