Irshad murder: police to issue red corner notice against accused

KOZHIKODE: The investigation team will issue red corner notice to bring back the accused who have gone abroad, in Irshad murder case. Irshad was abducted by gold smugglers and was later found dead. They plan to contact Interpol through the CBI to bring back main accused, Nasar alias Swalih and Shamnad, natives of Thamarassery.

After Irshad's body was washed ashore in Kodikkal beach on July 17, the accused Swalih had gone abroad from Delhi airport.

According to police, Irshad was abducted under the leadership of Swalih demanding gold worth Rs 60 lakh smuggled from Dubai. Four arrests have been reported so far.
