IDUKKI: Former minister MM Mani has expressed regret for the harsh remarks he made after the local body election results came out. MM Mani clarified that he was wrong and accepted what the party told him as wrong. "I said it in the circumstances yesterday. Such remarks were not needed," he added. MM Mani also criticised opposition leader VD Satheesan. MM Mani said that VD Satheesan is a low-quality opposition leader.
The other day, MM Mani made a remark that insulted the public. Mani's response was that the people took welfare pension from the government and then went against it. "They took money from the government and then went against it. Then they voted for some emotion. They showed ingratitude. Developments that have never happened before in the history of Kerala have taken place in the fields of roads, bridges, development works, and public welfare works. They took all this, ate well, and went against us. They voted against it. They didn't show any decency. The people showed their disrespect," Mani said.
