Went to hospital to see a friend and later went missing; Jithu's decomposed body found from water stream

KOTTAYAM: A man was found dead after falling into a stream. The incident took place in Lalam near Pala, Kottayam. Jithu Robi (28), a native of Vechoochira Edakadathy, Pathanamthitta, was found dead in a stream in Lalam.

The body, which was floating in the water and in a state of decomposition, was stuck in the Incha wines. The body was found on Friday morning. Jithu's bike was found on the bank of the stream behind the Pala Beverages Shop.

Jithu had gone to a private hospital in Pala Arunapuram on the 14th to visit his friend, who was undergoing treatment after being injured in a bike accident. Jithu, who left the hospital at around 7:30 pm, was nowhere to be seen. Pala police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Pala General Hospital morgue. Police said that the cause of death will be clear only after receiving the postmortem report.
