Karoor's daughter and writer B Saraswathy passes away; funeral to be held tomorrow

KOTTAYAM: Renowned writer and teacher B Saraswathy (94) passed away this afternoon at her residence in Ettumanoor. She was the daughter of noted literary figure Karoor Neelakanta Pillai. Saraswathy retired as the headmistress of NSS High School, Kidangoor. Her husband, M E Narayanan Kurup (retired Joint Director, Panchayat Department, Government of Kerala), had passed away earlier.

She is survived by her children- acclaimed cinematographer and filmmaker Venu, and former Kottayam SP N Ramachandran IPS. Beena Paul and Aparna Ramachandran are her daughters-in-law. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 pm at her Ettumanoor residence.
