KOCHI: On Thursday, Congress in Kerala suffered a beating after political prodigy and MLA Rahul Mamkootathil resigned from his post as Youth Congress President. Everything started with young actress Rini Ann George's shocking revelation through Kaumudi movies. Rini fearlessly opened up about the flurry of obscene messages she received from a particular leader of Congress. She, however, refrained from naming him. Soon, the mainstream media channels took up the issue, resulting in a political pandemonium.

Kaumudi movies had approached Rini to talk about her new movies and her upcoming projects. However, the young actress had more to offer than just cinema. Chitra Chandrasekharan interviewed the actress for Kaumudi Movies.

When Rini opened up about her interest in politics, the anchor asked her more about it. Little did anyone know what was coming. Rini started slowly, responding to the question by talking about a personal ordeal. This led to her narrating the obscene message issue and the trouble she faced from the political leader.

When asked the name of the young leader, Rini refrained. Even when asked 'off the record' after the shooting, Rini stood firm and didn’t reveal the name. Apart from acting, she also works as a presenter and model. Rini is a native of North Paravur. She maintains friendships with leaders of Congress and other parties. Rini maintains a close relationship with Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan.
