KOCHI: Education Minister V Sivankutty said the incident of making children sing RSS’ Gana Geetham during the inauguration of the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat, is extremely serious. He added that using children for the communal agenda of any political organization is a blatant violation of constitutional principles and is condemnable.
The minister has instructed the director of public education to conduct a detailed investigation into the incident and submit a report as early as possible. He also said that there is no compromise in ensuring secular education for our children.
‘The action of the southern railways in making students sing RSS’ Gana Geetham is a blatant violation of constitutional principles and secularism. This move of using the country's largest public sector undertaking for communal political propaganda is unacceptable under any circumstances; it is an attempt to politicize our children. The entire people should strongly protest against this narrow politics aimed at destroying secularism,' said V Sivankutty.
