Man dies after attacked by wasps, two others sustain injuries

KOCHI: A 70-year-old man was attacked by a swarm of wasps leading to his death. The incident happened Wednesday morning at 10.30 am. He has been identified as Sivadasan of Keezhmad grama panchayat. His son Prabhat and his friend Ajith were also attacked by the wasps while trying to save Sivadasan.

Sivadasan was attacked by the wasps when he went to graze his cow in a field near his house. Prabath and Ajith had to take a lot of effort to shift Sivadasan from the spot. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Aluva but his life could not be saved. Wearing a raincoat and helmet, the wasps were chased away by spraying water from a nearby house.
