Massive fire breaks out at TVS showroom in Thiruvananthapuram; vehicles gutted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A major fire broke out at the TVS scooter showroom in PMG in Thiruvananthapuram during the wee hours of Saturday morning. Security personnel said that a large explosion occurred on the top floor of the building at 4 am today and in no time, the fire enveloped the building. The fire has been brought under control.

The fire force team zeroed in on the short circuit to be the reason for the incident. Ten fire force units were called to the scene to bring the fire under control. Many parts of the showroom got gutted in the fire. The fire spread in areas where vehicles were put for sale. All the vehicles on the upper floor of the showroom were burnt. The fire force unit shifted about fifty vehicles from the lower floor to the plot of ​​a nearby church.

Firefighters entered the showroom by breaking the window. The roof of the showroom was completely burnt down. A firefighter told the media that the explosion was caused by fuel being stored on the upper floor of the showroom
