KOCHI: The body of Section Officer Jolly Madhu (56), who died of brain haemorrhage due to mental torture by her superiors at the Coir Board, was buried at the St. George Forona Church cemetery in Edappally.

A cancer survivor and widow, Jolly collapsed at home due to brain haemorrhage while writing a complaint after being transferred to Andhra Pradesh. Questioning the irregularities of her superiors had led to mental torture. She died on Monday afternoon at Amrita Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Former Coir Board chairman Kuppuramu Durai Pandi said that Jolly was an honest and hardworking employee. He clarified that a thorough investigation is underway into the allegations against the Coir Board and that he will reveal what he knows to the authorities. His response came after he visited Jolly's residence yesterday and paid his respects.

Jolly Madhu's voicemail out

Jolly Madhu's voicemail also leaked yesterday, explaining that she faced severe labour exploitation from her superiors. This comes after evidence of labour harassment was found in Jolly's diary.

"The thief Shukla (Jitendra Shukla) was given the charge of the sector. Vipul Goel in the ministry was given the charge of the chairman. Shukla has been pocketing Vipul Goel by giving him money. Whatever he writes, Vipul Goyal will sign it and pass it on. Shukla is the one deciding everything now. Shukla is the one angry with me. He wrote in many files for cheating. I blocked all of that. He is taking revenge for that...," says Jolly's voicemail.
