Met via social media, Rahul admits relationship with woman, visuals of arrest emerge

PATHANAMTHITTA: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA admitted that he had a relationship with the woman, who filed a sexual abuse complaint against him. Rahul's statement to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is that he met the complainant on social media. However, he clarified that he did not force the woman to abort the baby as cited in the complaint.

The police arrested Rahul based on a complaint filed by the woman of Pathanamthitta, to the chief minister. The SIT team took him into custody from the hotel where he was staying. The visuals of this have been emerged. This is the third case registered against Rahul based on the complaints filed by the woman.

The complaint contains serious allegations such as brutal harassment and financial exploitation. A case has been registered on charges of rape, forced feticide, betrayal of trust, financial exploitation, intimidation and obscene language. The main findings in the case are that the woman was sexually and financially exploited and physically abused.

With the new complaint, there are three rape cases against Rahul. He was arrested from Palakkad in the new case, taken to Pathanamthitta AR camp and then his arrest was recorded. Rahul was taken into custody from the KPM Regency Hotel in Palakkad based on a complaint filed via email by a native of Pathanamthitta.
