THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Saji Cherian said that he does not have any issues with senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran. Speaking to the media, he said that Sudhakaran does not have any misunderstanding and that the media should not create any such misunderstandings.
"G Sudhakaran sir is the most prominent leader of the party alive in Alappuzha. He has made several contributions to the party in Kerala. We will take action if anyone tries to portray him in a bad light. He has not distanced himself from the party. Don't try to show that he is now against the party. If there are any issues, we will go talk to him. He will be given responsibilities that he can handle. We don't have anything to gain by destroying him. He has the right to criticise me. We've grown up in life listening to criticisms," Saji Cherian said.
Earlier, G. Sudhakaran had openly criticised Saji Cherian, alleging that the minister had tried to expel him from the party and that some members even celebrated his supposed removal by bursting crackers. Sudhakaran had demanded party action against Saji Cherian, saying, “It is the party that should speak well about me. Saji Cherian’s group even tried to push me toward the BJP. No one has ever won a fight against me. I am speaking from the soil of Punnapra and Vayalar.”
