More details emerge on tour bus accident involving Thonnakkal school students

KOTTAYAM: More details have come out regarding the incident where a bus carrying school students met with an accident in Kottayam. The accident happened at Choorappatta bend near Nellappara on the Pala–Thodupuzha road. The bus was carrying students and teachers of the Thonnakkal Government HSS in Thiruvananthapuram. It was one of three buses in the tour group.

The group was returning from a trip to Kodaikanal when the accident took place. There were 42 students and four teachers on the bus. The injured students and teachers were taken to Pala Government Hospital. The accident happened after the driver lost control of the bus while taking a turn. Reports say that no one has suffered serious injuries.
