Obscene video: BJP candidate opts out of Lok Sabha polls

LUCKNOW: BJP MP Upendra Singh Rawat, the party's Lok Sabha candidate in Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, has withdrawn his candidature from the election after his alleged obscene video went viral on social media. Meanwhile, Upendra Singh Rawat said that the video circulating on social media was fake. He also lodged a complaint with the police.

Upendra Singh's name was included in the list of candidates announced by the BJP the other day. Later, a video showing the BJP MP in a compromising position with a foreign woman surfaced on social media. After the video went viral, Upendra Singh announced that he would not contest the election till his innocence was proven.
