THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of Operation D-Hunt, 1,997 people suspected of being involved in drug trafficking were tested in a special drive conducted across the state on Monday (May 05). 76 cases were registered for possession of various types of illegal drugs, and 75 people were arrested. In all these cases, the police seized deadly drugs such as MDMA (3.008 grams), cannabis (2.657 kilograms), and cannabis bidis (60 pieces) from them.

Operation D-Hunt was conducted statewide on May 5, 2025, to identify and take strict legal action against those involved in the storage and marketing of illicit drugs. There is a 24-hour Anti-Narcotics Control Room (9497927797) to receive information from the public about drugs and take action. The numbers that contact the control room will remain confidential.

As part of strengthening the anti-drug campaign, the Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Cell, the NDPS Coordination Cell and the Range-based Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Cell are functioning at the state level under the direct supervision of the ADGP, Law and Order.
