KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has ruled that the toll collection at Paliyekkara on the Edappally-Mannuthi National Highway will not be restored. Had directed the central government to take a decision. The toll collection was frozen until a decision is made, clarified the high court.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has said that the problem on the service roads is being resolved and that the order should be amended by restoring toll collection. However, the court rejected this demand. The plea related to the traffic problem on the Edappally-Mannuthi National Highway will be considered again tomorrow. The high court has directed the district collector to appear online today.

The high court had stopped the toll collection at Paliyekkara till today. It has now been clarified that it will not be restored until a decision is taken on the plea.
