Patient threatens staff with air gun in hospital, taken into custody

PATHANAMTHITTA: A patient visited the hospital with an air gun. The incident happened Wednesday morning at Kunnamthanam near Mallapally in Pathanamthitta. Linu Thomas (38) unleashed violence with the gun.

Linu, who reached the nurses room, pointed the gun at the staff. After shouting at them, he kept the gun on the table. In the meantime, the staff informed the medical officer and others. When the medical officer and more employees arrived, he left the hospital and escaped in a vehicle.

The police have taken Linu of Kunnamthanam, into custody on the complaint of the staff. The police suspect that Linu, who is being treated for several diseases, has some mental issues. He told the police that he is a doctor and has medical equipment. It is reported that the arrest of Linu, taken into custody will be recorded soon.
