NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan rejected CPI state secretary's remarks against SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan.
“Binoy Viswam may not take Vellappally in his car, but I will,” the Chief Minister said in a press conference.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister did not agree with Vellappally's statement calling CPI leaders betrayers.
“CPI is the most important constituent of LDF. We share a warm relationship.” The Chief Minister also denied CPM carrying any doubts over the behaviour of CPI leaders.
“Party will decide on whether Pinarayi Vijayan should lead the Left Front in the upcoming elections. It will be decided later. It is not for me to say that. At an appropriate time, the party will reveal the name of the chief minister candidate,” said CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
"On the Kogilu bulldozer demolition incident, I could not talk with the Karnataka Chief Minister as he arrived late. I had to leave immediately due to other engagements, including a cabinet meeting. I do not agree with the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister's criticism, asking Kerala not to respond to matters across the state border. When such incidents happen in Uttar Pradesh, everyone reacts. When minorities are persecuted, we don’t look at which border the issue is on. The people of the state stood united while responding to the genocide in Gaza, which was something happening in a distant country”
