THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is heard that the state government signed an agreement with the union government to join the PM Shri (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) project secretly. CPM ministers and senior CPM leaders were not aware of the signing of the agreement. CPM ministers came to know about it through media. The government did not take CPM leaders into confidence either. It is reported that the decision was taken without any consultation.

Meantime, the CPM is ready for persuasion moves on the PM Shri project. Education Minister V Sivankutty is holding talks with the CPI leadership. Sivankutty will reach the CPI headquarters to meet CPI state secretary Binoy Vishwam. The persuasion move is on the directions of the CPM. The CPI is blaming the education minister for it and so the CPM leadership is trying to use the same minister to hold talks.
