KOZHIKODE: Naseebi Sheikh, an accused in a POCSO case, managed to escape custody by jumping from a train. Sheikh, a native of Assam, was being escorted from Assam to Kozhikode by police when he slipped from their watch and leaped from the train near the Bihar border.

The case was originally registered at Nallalam Police Station four months ago, involving the alleged kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl. During the initial investigation, the accused had already fled to Assam to evade capture. The Nallalam police, with assistance from Assam police, located and apprehended Sheikh in a challenging operation.
