THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 171st Jayanti of Sree Narayana Gurudeva will be celebrated all over the world today. Celebrations filled with prayers will be held at the Chembazhanthi Gurukula, which was blessed with the birth of the Gurudeva; at Sivagiri, which turned sacred due to his Samadhi; at the associated Mutts and Gurudeva temples including Aruvippuram and Aluva Advaita Ashram; and under the leadership of various Sree Narayana movements including SNDP Yogam.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Guru Jayanti Mahasammelan at Chempazhanthi Gurukulam at 6.30 pm. Kadakampally Surendran MLA will preside. Sree Narayana Dharmasangham Trust President Swami Sachidananda will deliver the Jayanti message. Swami Sookshmananda will deliver the benediction speech. Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP, K.G. Baburajan, Gokulam Gopalan, Muralya K. Muraleedharan and G. Mohandas will speak. Sree Narayana Dharmasangham Trust General Secretary Swami Shubhangananda will deliver the welcome address. Sree Narayana Darshanika Sammelan will be inaugurated by Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan at 10 am and Thiru Jayanti Procession by Minister V. Sivankutty at 3 pm.
Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust President Swami Sachidananda will hoist the flag at 7 am in Sivagiri. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will inaugurate the Jayanti conference at 9.30 am. Swami Sachidananda will preside. Treasurer Swami Saradananda will deliver the blessing speech. Adoor Prakash MP, V. Joy MLA, former Union Minister V. Muraleedharan, Municipal Chairman K.M. Laji, K.G. Baburajan, K. Muraleedharan and others will speak. General Secretary Swami Shubhangananda will deliver the welcome address, and Celebration Committee Secretary Swami Asangananda Giri will deliver the vote of thanks. Minister P. Prasad will inaugurate the Thiru Jayanti Vishwa Sahodarya Conference at 11.30 am.
The Jayanti procession will begin from the Mahasamadhi at 5.30 pm. The Chathaya Deepam will be lit under the leadership of prominent figures from the spiritual, social, artistic and cultural fields and various Sree Narayana movements.
