Preparations for public exams completed, SSLC results by second week of May

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty told the press that preparations for SSLC, Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations have been completed. The SSLC exam will start on March 9 and end on 29th. 4,19,362 regular students and 192 private students are appearing for the exam in 2,960 exam centres. Out of this, 2,13,801 are boys and 2,05,561 are girls.

In the Middle East region, 518 students are appearing in eight schools and in Lakshadweep, 289 students are appearing in nine schools.

The evaluation will be held in 70 camps from April 3 to 26. The tabulation activities will start from April 5 in the exam hall. The result will be published in the second week of May.

4,25,361 candidates will appear for the Plus One exam and 4,42,067 candidates for the Plus Two exam in 2023 examination centres for the Higher Secondary Examination to be held from March 10 to 30. 25,000 teachers will participate in 80 evaluation camps to be held from April 3 to the first week of May.

28,820 students in the first year and 30,740 students in the second year will appear for the Vocational Higher Secondary Examination from March 10 to 30 in 389 centres.

3,500 teachers will begin the evaluation from April 3 at eight evaluation centers.

The 10th, Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exams will start at 9.30 am. The exam for classes 1 to 9 will start on March 13 and end on 30th.

Water should be made available in front of the examination hall

Schools have been instructed to keep drinking water in front of the examination hall due to rising heat. The examinations of other classes were held in the afternoon as the 10th and Higher Secondary Public Examinations were held on alternate days. Minister V Sivankutty said that there is concern about children traveling in hot weather and that the government will consider changing the examination system from next year.
