Prime accused Unnikrishnan Potty gets bail in gold theft case, but will remain in jail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unnikrishnan Potty, the main accused in the Sabarimala gold robbery case, has been granted bail. He has now been granted bail in the case of the Dwarapalaka sculptors. Statutory bail was granted as the charge sheet was not filed even after 90 days. However, Unnikrishnan Potty can only be released from jail if he gets bail in the Kattilepalli (Gold Door Frame) case. Potty had filed the bail application citing that the SIT had not filed the charge sheet even after 90 days of his arrest in the Dwarapalaka case. The bail application was approved by the Kollam Vigilance Court.
