THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leader Karamana Jayan has been included in the governing council of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram. He has been appointed as the representative of the central government. The Union Ministry of Culture has given a letter in this regard to the District Judge, the chairman of the governing council.
Karamana Jayan will replace Kummanam Rajasekaran in the council. The Ministry of Culture has clarified this in its letter to the District Judge. In addition to the central government representative, the nominee of the trust and a representative of the state government will be members of the five-member governing council headed by the district judge of Thiruvananthapuram.
Karamana Jayan, a senior BJP leader in the district, is currently the state secretary of the party. He was a BJP candidate in the Parassala constituency in the last assembly elections.
