Protests over shifting of Palayam market to Kalluthankadavu, major clash witnessed ahead of CM’s visit

KOZHIKODE: A protest staged by traders and workers over shifting the Palayam market to Kalluthankadavu, led to a clash. The protests were witnessed when the chief minister is all set to inaugurate the new market building of Kalluthankadavu shortly. The clash was between those supporting and opposing the Palayam Market.

A section of the traders had protested for shifting of the market. In the meantime, those supporting the shifting of the market to Kalluthankadavu staged a protest. The protesters hooted at them, and this led to a clash. There was a scuffle with the police.
