THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government declared a public holiday on Tuesday, the 30th of this month, in connection with the Navratri celebrations. As per the official notification, the holiday will apply to institutions in the state, including those operating under the government, semi-government, public sector, as well as institutions covered by the Negotiable Instruments Act, and all educational institutions, such as professional colleges.

However, since the assembly session is underway, the officials in charge of the assembly should perform their allotted duties properly, and the heads of offices are assigned duties to ensure the work is conducted appropriately.
