Rahman's shenanigans with wife inside Lulu mall; Police make arrest

KOZHIKODE: A couple has been arrested for stealing a gold necklace from a 10-month-old toddler inside the prayer room at Mankavu Lulu Mall. Fazilul Rahman (35), a native of Thrikaripur, Kasaragod, and Niyaya Shahina (39), a native of Kannur Taliparamba, were arrested by the Kasaba Police and the City Crime Squad headed by Town Assistant Commissioner Ashraf Tengilakandi.

The incident related to the case took place on September 26th. The couple deftly seized the 1.15 sovereign gold chain from the toddler’s neck. Lulu Mall was experiencing a huge rush during the hour, which provided a conducive condition for the accused to barge into the crowd and flee. The couple in their attempt to flee went in two directions. Soon, they met at Kozhikode railway station.

According to the complaint, the Kasaba police investigated the case and identified the accused by checking the CCTV footage of Lulu Mall and the railway station. They were taken into custody from Kasaragod Padanna. The missing gold necklace was also recovered from them.
