
KANNUR: The leadership is trying to placate K Sudhakaran, who is at odds with the Congress in connection with his candidature. Rahul Gandhi summoned Sudhakaran to Delhi. He was asked to reach Delhi on Monday. Sudhakaran returned home from Delhi after falling out during the discussions held the other day.
The Congress leadership had informed leaders including Sudhakaran during the discussions held in Delhi the other day that MPs are not allowed to contest the assembly elections. However, Sudhakaran had already expressed his interest in contesting from Kannur. Although the Congress leadership had informed that the person mentioned by Sudhakaran could be contested, he openly expressed his dissatisfaction.
