THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress facing a major headache during elections, with leaders coming out in support and opposition of Rahul Mamkootathil MLA after the new audio recording of the sexual abuse allegation came out.

K. Sudhakaran says Rahul is innocent and should be active in the Congress. Ramesh Chennithala wants KPCC to look into Rahul's campaign. K Muraleedharan says Rahul will not be at the Congress stage.

The new part of the sexual harassment tape came out while Rahul was active in the Palakkad election campaign. Subsequently, Rahul's participation was discussed among the workers and leaders. Opposition leader VD Satheesan, who had been demanding action against Rahul, remained silent. KPCC president Sunny Joseph also did not respond. Sudhakaran's entry into the scene, advocating for Rahul, came in the midst of this.

Muraleedharan had made it clear that individual factors should decide whether Rahul's campaign is beneficial or not. Chennithala further intensified his dissatisfaction by saying that Rahul was expelled and that it was a decision taken jointly by everyone, including K Sudhakaran.

AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal responded by saying that Rahul is suspended and the Palakkad leadership will respond if he participates in the campaign. Meanwhile, Rahul is preparing for a public fight against the leadership, stating that he will campaign as long as he can walk.
