Rahul will not be allowed to contest next polls, should step down from YC president’s post

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA may relinquish the post of Youth Congress President following crucial revelations against him. The high command has directed Rahul to step down. The Congress leadership is in turmoil as the allegations against Rahul have stoked a controversy. With this, the high command directed Rahul to resign his post.

The KPCC was asked to investigate the allegations levelled by the actress against Rahul for sending obscene messages. There are also indications that some of the complaints received by the high command have been forwarded to the KPCC. Along with the reorganization, a move is being made to announce the new president of the Youth Congress. However, Rahul will continue as an MLA. There are also plans to deny him a seat in the next elections.

In an interview with Kaumudyi Movies, the actress had revealed that a political leader had misbehaved with her. After this, a discussion was also held in the WhatsApp group of the Youth Congress State Committee. The demand in the discussion was that if Rahul is not guilty, then it should be proved. A woman leader in the group had sent a message to proceed legally.

I have had bad experiences from a prominent youth leader in Kerala. He sent obscene messages and approached me in a bad way. I am not saying this to tarnish the image of any party. This trend is around us. We approach the concerned persons with such complaints. Then even those who say they are working for women will not consider this, the actress alleged.
