THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rains will become intense in the coming days in Kerala. The Indian Meteorological Department informed about isolated heavy rains returning to the state from Sunday as a result of the cyclone and low pressure.

A yellow alert was issued for Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts tomorrow.

There is a warning for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts on the 23rd and Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts on the 24th. The Meteorological Centre explained that there is a possibility of rain in Kerala for the next seven days due to the low-pressure area over Bihar and the cyclonic circulation over northeastern Rajasthan. Isolated heavy rains are likely till Thursday.

Lightning is dangerous. It can cause great damage to human and animal lives, electrical and communication networks, and household appliances connected to electrical conductors. Therefore, the public should take the following precautions from the moment they first see a thunderstorm.
