'Raising Rahul's issue to cover up gold theft case'; CPM is protecting criminals, says V D Satheesan

KANNUR: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said CPM is protecting the criminals. The party had taken action on the sexual harassment complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. The CPM is raising that issue again to cover up the gold theft case, said Satheesan while talking to the media in Kannur.

‘The candidate in Payyannur is an accused in a bomb blast case. The CPM is raising Rahul's issue now in order to cover up the gold theft case. The party has taken strong action against Rahul,' clarified Satheesan.

Meantime, BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar responded that the case against Rahul is a political tactic. He said the issue has been raised now to cover up the gold theft. However, former BJP state president K Surendran said the Congress is shielding Rahul.
