Ring gets stuck in 12-year-old boy’s genitals; did not disclose to anyone, what finally happened

THRISSUR: A steel ring got stuck in the genital of a 12-year-old boy. The boy while bathing wore the ring on his genital and it got stuck in it accidentally. He did not disclose about it to anyone out of fear and shame.

Within two days, the boy noticed swelling in his genitals. He finally told others about it. On the third day, he sought treatment at Thrissur Medical College. The ring that got stuck was a very thick steel ring. Since it was so tight, anesthesia was administered and it could not be cut with a steel cutter. Finally, the ring was cut with an electric cutter. Authorities said the boy is healthy and was discharged from the hospital after two days.
