Kerala Govt bore expenses of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra’s visit to Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Haryana vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, arrived in Kerala at the invitation of the state government. A Right to Information document has emerged proving that Jyoti Malhotra arrived in Kerala as part of the promotion of the tourism department. Jyoti Malhotra is also on the list of those who were promoted by the tourism department using social media influencers.


Jyoti Malhotra traveled to Kannur, Kozhikode, Kochi, Alappuzha and Munnar at the expense of the Kerala government. The list of vloggers who promoted for the tourism department from January 2024 to May 2025 has emerged. It has been revealed that 33-year-old Jyoti has visited Pakistan several times in the past. It has also been reported that she had contacts with the intelligence department of Pakistan. She also had contacts with the employees of the Pakistan High Commission. Following this, India expelled this official.


Jyoti's YouTube channel is 'Travel with Jo'. Most of Jyothi's videos are from Pakistan. There are a total of 487 videos on the channel ‘Travel with Jo'. Most of the videos are from Pakistan, Thailand and Bangladesh. A video of Jyoti wearing a Kerala sari and visiting Theyyam in Kannur had gone viral earlier.
