RTO, son diagnosed with food poisoning, hotel closed

KOCHI: A RTO and his son were diagnosed with food poisoning. RTO G Ananthakrishnan and his son complained of uneasiness after having food from Aryas Hotel in Thrikkakara. On the complaint filed by Ananthakrishnan in the incident, the health department officials of the Kochi Municipal Corporation closed the Aryas Vegetarian Hotel functioning in Thrikkakara. Ananthakrishnan is undergoing treatment in the hospital after diagnosed with food poisoning.

Ananthakrishnan and his son ate ghee roast, vada and coffee from the hotel last Monday at 8 in the morning. They developed uneasiness around 10 am. After complaining of fever, they called the doctor. Ananthakrishnan and his son sought treatment at a private hospital in Kochi.


The hospital authorities informed that they were diagnosed with food poisoning from the chutney they had. They did not feel any difference in the taste while eating. His son also felt uneasiness. Ananthakrishnan told media that his son ate only little chutney and so he did not have any major problems.
