Running bus of Murahara Travels catches fire; incident during Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram trip

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A bus which was running on the Kazhakkoottam-Karode Bypass caught fire. The bus of Murahara Travels was on its way from Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram when it caught fire. About 18 passengers were on the bus at the time of the accident. All passengers were safely evacuated. The fire broke out from the front of the bus when it reached near RC Church in Thirupuram. The driver was the first to see the fire. The driver immediately stopped the bus on the side of the road.

All passengers are safe. The entire front of the bus has been gutted. Two fire force units arrived from Neyyattinkara and Poovar and extinguished the fire. The initial conclusion is that a short circuit may be the cause of the fire.
