KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that there is no point in pinning hopes on the K-Rail project. "However, that does not mean that the project is being completely abandoned. We will try to implement it in a different form. We need the approval of the Centre to implement the rail projects. We expected that the approval would be received quickly. Political positions are behind the failure to get permission," the Chief Minister said at the Kannur Press Club's Meet the Press.
LDF is facing the local body elections with full confidence. The masses of Kerala do not accept UDF. Those who are with UDF are dropping out in large numbers. Nothing will happen in the education sector of Kerala even if PM SHRI is not implemented. About 2,000 schools have been renovated at a cost of 5,000 crores.
The new education policy will not be implemented in Kerala no matter what form it takes. The syllabus is prepared by the state. The government decided to cooperate with PM SHRI because it wanted to get funds for the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. The fact that the funds were not received was a suffocating situation.
The investigation into the Sabarimala gold theft is going well. The UDF, which first said that the investigation committee was not enough, said that the investigation is in good shape. The party will take necessary action against the accused at the appropriate stage."
'Sanghi shirt does not suit me'
The Chief Minister said that the UDF leaders are eager to give a clean chit to the Jamaat-e-Islami, which has a communal extremist stance. "Jamaat-e-Islami is a movement that has largely isolated itself from the Muslim masses. The UDF and Jamaat-e-Islami are trying to portray the party and me into supporters of the Sangh Parivar. There is a leader in the Congress who has publicly stated that they have sent volunteers to guard an RSS shakha. The Sanghi shirt will suit only them, not me."
